Automated Recycling Collection

Recycling Collection Methods
In January 2015 the City changed recycling collection methods. The City utilizes an automated 65 gallon wheeled cart for the collection of all recyclable materials. If you have amounts of cardboard and other recyclable materials that exceed the capacity of your cart, they may be brought to the recycling center at the Municipal Services Yard. If you regularly exceed the capacity of your cart, additional or replacement automated recycling carts may be requested from the Municipal Services Department.

The 18 gallon Red/Red-Orange (or any other color) manually collected recycle bins will no longer be used after January 7, 2015.

Recycling Processing Methods
All acceptable materials are to be placed unsorted into the recycling cart. Recyclable materials are processed, sorted and recovered at a central facility.
