Hydrant flushing

Department of Municipal Services crews will be performing routine hydrant flushing and testing today and for the rest of the week, mainly on the southern part of town.

During that time, you may experience lower than normal water pressure and/or discolored water for a brief time. If you experience either of these conditions, run your cold water for several minutes to flush out your plumbing. Discoloration that may occur is due to natural minerals in the water being stirred up in the hydrant flushing process. The water will remain safe to drink at all times throughout this process.
