The City of Plymouth remains under a Snow Emergency until 12 noon today.  No parking is allowed on the residential side streets until plow operations are completed.  The City has received several inches of snow overnight and City Municipal Services crews have been working overnight to keep the City's roads open.

As of 4:15 a.m. all of the City's Major Streets have been plowed multiple times during the overnight hours.  The City's Major Streets are plowed and passable.  City crews are continuing their work in the commercial areas at this time.   In addition, the Department has dispatched resources to plow the residential side streets and that effort has begun.  It will take several hours before residential side streets are clear.

Due to the extreme weather conditions the City's solid waste contractor, Republic Services will DELAY TRASH & RECYCLE COLLECTIONS BY ONE DAY.  Scheduled Tuesday collections will not occur on Wednesday.  Likewise, Wednesday collections will now occur on Thursday.  The collection delay is for this week only.    In addition, the placement of trash carts is important to ensure prompt collection.  Republic Services reminds residents that trash carts should be placed on level ground and not on top of or in snow banks.
