City Commission Meeting Summary - April 19

The Plymouth City Commission approved planned infrastructure improvements to Jener and Hartsough Streets at its regular meeting held on April 19, 2021. The repairs to Jener are expected to be made from Wing to Linden, and the repairs to Hartsough are expected to happen from Harvey to McKinley. Construction is expected to begin later this spring. The City will hold informational meetings for residents in both areas prior to construction. Those meetings are expected be scheduled in the next couple of weeks.
The City Commission authorized City administration to enter into a partnership with the Plymouth Housing Commission for the use of $20,000 in Community Development Block Grants. The authorized funds will be used to make improvements to Tonquish Creek Manor.
The City Commission approved a contract renewal with Wayne County Appraisal, LLC. WCA Assessing has been the City's assessing service for approximately 18 years. The new contract will last through April of 2026.
The City Commission also approved three events at Monday's meeting; the Plymouth-Canton Community Scouting Breakfast at The Gathering on August 19, Thursday Best Friends Volleyball at Fairground Park from April 29 through September 30, and the Plymouth Community Farmers Market at The Gathering held Saturdays from May 8 through October 23.
