City Commission Meeting Summary - June 7

The Plymouth City Commission held its annual Liquor License Review at its regular meeting held on Monday, June 7. The City Commission approved many liquor license renewals and approved a resolution to make no changes to the number of liquor licenses allowed in the City and the DDA. A second public hearing is scheduled for June 21.

The City Commission held its annual review of the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act (MRTMA). No action was taken by the City Commission.

The City Commission approved the 2021-22 waste and recycling rates. There are no anticipated increases to rates this fiscal year.

The City Commission authorized the purchase of a variety of soccer equipment from Protime Sports for the 2021-22 fiscal year. Protime Sports offered the lowest bid on the needed equipment.

The City Commission adopted Traffic Control Order No. 21-1. The order formally adopts the addition of some 15-minute parking spaces in the downtown area.

Other items of note from Monday's meeting include the adoption of the 2021-22 City Budget, renewal of the Lexipol Policy Subscription Service, approval to move delinquent charges onto tax rolls, and the approval of the Michigan Philharmonic's "An American Salute" concert in Kellogg Park on June 26.
