The Plymouth City Commission authorized the final payment of $94,835.37 to Audia Construction for the 2021 Sidewalk Repair & Utility Patch Program at the regular meeting held Monday, December 20 via Zoom. More than 6,300 square feet of sidewalk, 319 square feet of road replacement, 62 square feet of ADA crosswalks and 65 linear feet of curb and gutter were replaced during the project. Work was completed during October and November of 2021.
The City Commission approved the purchase of a Neptune MRXZ 920 Mobile Data Collector from Ferguson Waterworks. The unit replaces a malfunctioning unit that is used to read water meter data.
The City Commission authorized the purchase of equipment for Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) pedestrian crossing lights at five locations. The new flashing lights are expected to be installed at the following intersections: Ann Arbor Trail at Evergreen, Penniman at Evergreen, Ann Arbor Trail at Forest, Starkweather at Liberty, and the Main Street mid-block crosswalk between Penniman and Ann Arbor Trail. The RRFB lights will improve pedestrian safety and will increase walkability in the City.
The City Commission also appointed Jennifer Mariucci to the Planning Commission at Monday's meeting.
