City Road Conditions as of 5:00 p.m.
Published on Feb 17, 2022 16:56
The City Department of Municipal Services has been working hard to maintain roads. Earlier today they had a cold patch crew out working on potholes and a salt truck to help prevent the sleet from bonding to the roadway.
As of 5:00 p.m., the Department of Municipal Services has crews out plowing and salting the major roadways. All roads should be considered snow covered and slippery. Main roads have been treated, so there is some slush on the roadway mixed with fresh snow. Crews are scheduled to work until midnight, when they will take a short rest period to return at 4:00 a.m. This is subject to change depending on weather conditions. The weather service is indicating that snow should stop around midnight.
Residents are reminded not to blow, push or shovel snow into the streets, especially after they have been plowed. Residents should also expect a snow emergency to be issued for the overnight hours and into Friday morning.
