Upcoming Event Road Closures & Parking Restrictions in the City of Plymouth
Published on Jul 5, 2023 11:16
The Art in the Park event will be taking place this weekend in Downtown Plymouth. There will be multiple road closures and parking restrictions put in place. The road closures and parking restrictions begin Thursday and will remain in effect through late Sunday evening.
The following Roads will be closed Thursday evening through Sunday night:
* MAIN STREET - From Church to Wing Streets - Access to Westborn Market will be available via Main Street to Fralick, from Main and Church. Follow the signs.
* PENNIMAN AVE. - From Harvey to Union
* ANN ARBOR TRAIL - From Harvey to Union/Deer
* FOREST AVE. - From Ann Arbor Trail to Wing
Most parking lots in and around the Downtown area will be charging for event parking Friday through Sunday. Local service clubs will be managing the major municipal lots and use collected funds for programs that benefit the community.
Again, there will be several parking restrictions posted throughout the City. These restrictions are in place to allow easy emergency vehicle access to the residential side streets. In addition, we are providing access for easy turning for shuttle buses that will be bringing people to the event from the off-site parking areas.
The shuttle buses are the best way to the event. Art in the Park event shuttles pick up at Schoolcraft College (south lot) and deliver guests to Plymouth City Hall. The shuttle is $6 for a round trip and kids under 12 ride for free.
