City Road Conditions as of 5:15 a.m.
Published on Jan 23, 2024 05:45

There has been icing of roadway surfaces and sidewalks during the overnight hours. City Municipal Services crews have been working during the overnight hours as well. Crews are treating major City Streets, such as Penniman, Ann Arbor Trail, Main Street, Starkweather, and others.  The current temperature in the City of Plymouth is 32f and ice is forming on tree limbs at this time.

If you are driving this morning, please use extreme caution as there will be patches of ice under the surface slush. Elevated surfaces such as bridges, overpasses, and the central parking deck will ice over first and should be considered slippery.  If you are driving, please leave plenty of room between cars.  Road conditions will vary greatly from one area to another.

Sidewalks are also iced over and if you must walk the dog this morning, we suggest that you walk on the snow as sidewalks may be extremely slick.

Please use caution when going out of the house this morning and extreme caution when driving this morning.  Please don't crowd the plows or salt trucks, they are working to make roads safer to drive on and you need to give them plenty of room to work.
