Advanced Notice of Road Construction

Drivers should be aware that road construction is currently planned starting on Monday, June 17th, at 7:00 a.m.  It is anticipated that contractors will be using the large milling machine, which will grind off a portion of the driving surface.  This process is expected to take several days this week.  The streets that will be affected are:

* PENNIMAN - From Sheldon Rd to Evergreen
* ARTHUR - From William to Junction
* ADAMS - Near the PARC Facility
* THEODORE - From car wash facility to the rear of the Cultural Center

There will be some minor street repairs taking place after the milling process is completed.  In about a week to 10 days later the paving will take place. Drive with caution in these areas. 

The contractors schedule of work will be affected by weather, heat, crew availability, equipment, and a variety of other factors that will affect the overall schedule.  Persons with questions regarding this report should contact the Department of Municipal Services at [email protected].  

There will be additional work on additional streets later this summer. Funding for this project is authorized by the 2019 voter approved road bond issue.
