There is infrastructure work taking place in a number of areas of the City. Here is an update on current and planned work over the next several days.
- Today, June 26th, - GM & Sons is working on the concrete curb and gutter areas on Arthur, N. Arthur, Adams and Penniman.
- Thursday, June 27th - CI Contracting will be installing the new storm sewer on Spring Street. They anticipate this will take one to two days. All the pavement has been removed on Spring Street and concrete pipe has been delivered. With all the rain, there is some mud getting tracked onto Starkweather, but Proline is going to bring in some stone to address/minimize that. Wade Trim staking crews are currently on site staking the new storm sewer.
- Friday, June 28th ? Proline will be milling Penniman from Sheldon to Evergreen. This has been moved up in the schedule with the goal of getting Penniman repaved early next week and open prior to the 4th of July holiday. The amount of base repair that is needed may affect the schedule, but Proline is working hard to get this busy street back open.
- July 1st through July 3rd, CI plans to start work on some of the gate valve replacements. The gate valve at Palmer and Evergreen is first on the list, followed by Sheldon and Palmer and then McKinley and Palmer.
- Proline is targeting July 1st and 2nd to start repaving. Proline will work to get as many of the open street resurfacing areas completed during these two days. Theodore and Penniman are first priorities, with Arthur and Adams to follow, as time allows.
- Proline is trying to schedule PK for striping on Penniman and Union. We don?t have a firm date yet, so there is likely going to be some temporary pavement markings in use following the paving.
- No work is planned on July 4th or 5th
