The Good Morning USA Parade will take place Main Street on July 4 at 9:00 a.m. The Plymouth Good Morning USA Parade is bigger and more dynamic this year with new additions, including a 25-foot Uncle Sam Balloon, four carnival acts, five musical performers/bands, the Wayne County Sheriff?s Mounted Division, and even hula dancers. Parade favorites are back, like the Michigan Wheelman on their antique bikes, Santa Claus, vintage cars, and a robot from our high schools? Robotics Team.
We are also honored to have veterans participating from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and members of the VFW. Children and families are encouraged to honor our veterans along the parade route by holding up signs to thank them for their service and applauding.
Drivers can anticipate that Main Street and all cross streets along the parade route will be closed to traffic starting at approximately 7:00 a.m. and will remain closed until approximately 11:00 a.m. Harvey Street and Mill Street are good detour routes.
Also on July 4th, the Plymouth Community Band will be playing their patriotic concert in Kellogg Park at 7:00 p.m.
On Friday, July 5th, Steve King and the Dittilies will be on the Stage in Kellogg Park starting at 7:00 p.m. with their Family Independence Day Celebration. This is another free concert in the park.
Saturday, July 6th, is the Chamber of Commerce Farmer's Market in the Gathering Pavilion on Penniman. The Market runs from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The parade starts just south of the railroad tracks on Main Street by Bode?s and finishes at Hartsough Street by Dairy-Go-Round. This year, the Plymouth Rotary Club joined the long-time parade organizer, the Kiwanis Club, to put the event together, which created the opportunity to make it more elaborate.
