As of 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, multiple City of Plymouth DMS crews are continuing cleanup from Tuesday night's severe storms. To help our crews move quickly, please make sure that all tree debris bundles and branches are stacked neatly at the curb. Please make sure branches do not crisscross and are stacked parallel to the curb line.

As residents continue cleanup efforts, here are a few reminders:

  • Do not go within 25 feet of any downed power lines. Call DTE at 1-800-477-4747 to report a downed line or visit www.outage.dteenergy.com/
  • Please place branches at the curb in bundles that can be picked up by one person. To speed up clean up efforts, please align all branches neatly and parallel to the curb.
  • Do not put any item in tree debris bundles that isn't tree debris.
  • The City is only responsible for downed trees located in between the sidewalk and the street. Trees located on private property are not the responsibility of the City.

DTE has indicated that a majority of the power in the City of Plymouth has been restored as of 3:30 p.m. Restoration efforts are still ongoing on some individual properties City-wide. Residents that are still dealing with power issues should contact DTE at 1-800-477-4747 or visit https://outage.dteenergy.com/.
