Main St. Construction Update 9.9.24

Following all the fun of the Fall Festival, we turn our attention back to the roadwork on Main St. between Sutherland/Burroughs & Ann Arbor Rd.

Crews will be on site Monday, September 9^th at 7:00 A.M.

The next step in the project is resurfacing the road. Crews will be milling/grinding the asphalt road surface one half at a time beginning with the East half of the road (Northbound traffic lane).

While work is occurring on the East half of the road, Northbound traffic will be detoured to Harvey St. and Southbound traffic will remain open.

Crews will then move to the West half of the road (Southbound traffic lane).

While work is occurring on the West half of the road, Southbound traffic will be detoured to Harvey St. and Northbound traffic will remain open.

Crews will proceed to repairing the road base one half at a time, then finish by paving the surface and repainting the pavement markings.

The resurfacing work is anticipated to be completed in 7-10 days.

Please note: Vehicular access to driveways may be interrupted temporarily while crews and equipment are working. We intend to provide access to all businesses as quickly as feasible. Please keep crews safe and follow the direction of flaggers. Traffic may have a lane shift during work to allow for the crews to work safely and efficiently.

Inclement weather may delay or postpone the project date.
