Hazardous Weather Advisory: Evening of 12/11 & 12/12

The National Weather Services has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook Advisory for the Plymouth area tonight and into tomorrow.  Weather forecasters are estimating snowfall of one to two inches, with localized areas up to four inches.
First Responders from the City Department of Municipal Services are currently (as of 1:30 p.m. Wednesday) placing a brine solution on all City Major Streets and municipal parking lots. This solution in advance of the storm will assist in preventing a bonding of snow/ice to the road surface and make road salt to be more effective at lower temperatures.
Drivers should be reminded of a new State Law now in effect that requires drivers to stay at least 200 feet behind any municipal, county or state salt or snow removal vehicle that has its emergency lights activated and working.  Plymouth Police will be enforcing this new law.
