City Road Conditions as of 6:00 a.m.
Published on Dec 12, 2024 06:26

The City of Plymouth has received approximately three inches of wind blown snow during the overnight hours,  All Major City Streets were treated and clear as of 4:15 a.m.  However, a band of heavy snow returned to our community at approximately 4:30 a.m.

First Responders from the City Department of Municipal Services have been working during the overnight hours to keep up with the wind and blowing snowfall. As of 6:00 a.m. all Major Streets have a layer of slush covered by snow.  Crews are continuing to work to clear the streets at this time.  Residential side streets are snow covered and slick at this time. Elevated surfaces such as bridges, overpasses and the Central Parking Deck are snow covered and slick.  Elevated surfaces tend to refreeze even after being treated and caution is advised.

If you are going out this morning, please plan on additional time to get to your location as roads are snow covered and slippery.  Remember there is a new State Law which requires that drivers stay back 200 feet from any municipal snow plow or salt truck with its emergency lights activated.  Plymouth Police will be enforcing this new law.

Additional updates will be sent as the day progresses and road conditions change during the day.  Persons with questions regarding this report should contact the Department of Municipal Services at [email protected].
