City Road Conditions as of 6:15 a.m.
Published on Dec 24, 2024 06:39
First Responders from the City Department of Municipal Services worked during the overnight hours as Mother Nature gave us an interesting mix of snow/slush/ice/rain. The current temperature in Plymouth is 32 degrees. Temperatures are predicted to rise during the day to 36 degrees around 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. and then will drop to below freezing during the overnight hours.
All Major Streets in the city have been treated and are clear and wet. Residential side streets have a mix of snow and slush and may be slippery. Bridges, overpasses and the Central Parking Deck, while treated will re-freeze due to their elevated surfaces and caution is advised throughout the day. Downtown sidewalks have all been treated and are clear. Residential sidewalks may be snow/slush covered and may be slick.
Remember to drive safe and if you see a working plow or salt truck working on the roads to please give them a safe distance of 200 of any vehicle plowing or salting the roadways. This is a new State of Michigan law and police are enforcing the new rules. Please "Don't Crowd the Plow."
