City Road Conditions as of 8:30 a.m.
Published on Jan 23, 2025 08:54
First Responders from the Department of Municipal Services have been working on snow and ice control during the overnight hours and additional crews reported earlier this morning. The City has received just over an inch of snow since last night and it is currently snowing. All Major Streets in the City have been treated with a road salt and brine solution as of this time, but they are slush and snow covered and may be slick. County roads around the City are snow covered and extremely slick. Freeways around the city are snow/slush covered and extremely slippery, caution is advised.
Crews have cleared downtown sidewalks around 4:00 a.m., but additional snowfall has accumulated, but walks have been treated with a deicing material. The Central Parking Deck was treated earlier this morning, but due to the elevated surface, it can become icy quickly.
Plymouth Police advise to drive with caution this morning, be aware of school buses and students going to area schools. A reminder from Plymouth Police Chief Al Cox, "if you have four wheel drive, that means that you also have four wheel slide in snow and ice conditions."
