City Road Conditions as of 5:45 a.m.
Published on Feb 13, 2025 06:20

City Municipal Services First Responders have been working throughout the night.  At this time, all major streets in the city are clear, plowed, salted and wet.  Crews are also working on clearing municipal parking lots.  Contract crews have also cleared downtown sidewalks and will be treating those areas as well.

Municipal Services crews are also working on plowing the residential side streets.  A reminder to residents and businesses that it is against City Ordinances to push, shovel, or blow snow back into the streets after the plows have come through the area.  Do so, could cause liability for the property owner and it prevents the streets from being cleared.  Snow must be stocked piled on the tree lawn area between the sidewalk and street.  Snow must not be put back into the streets.

Another reminder is that drivers must keep 200 feet behind any working municipal salt/plow truck with its emergency lights activated.  This is a new state law this year and City Police Services will be enforcing the new law, in addition to Ordinance violations for push snow back into the street.
