Downtown Flooding overnight
Published on Apr 3, 2025 06:24
Significant rainfall overnight caused flooding in the Downtown Area, including but not limited to areas around the Central Parking Deck, Forest Ave, and Harvey Street. The City sent out a Nixile Advisory Message earlier in the overnight hours indicating that several streets were closed due to flooding.
At 6:00 a.m. some of the flood waters have begun to reduce and some streets are becoming passable. It is advised that drivers be aware of road closures due to flooding. Police are currently towing a flooded out vehicle off of Harvey Street near the Fleet Street alley.
Municipal Services First Responders have been on scene during the overnight hours. The Tonquish Creek is flooding several properties along the creek.
