The City of Plymouth's drug collection service, which is intended to reduce the amount of unneeded medicine in residents' homes, decrease prescription drug abuse, and keep drugs out of our waterways, was temporarily suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic. The service has been restored.
The City of Plymouth's Drug Collection Unit is located on the main floor of City Hall. Drugs may be dropped off with no questions asked. This service is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
For security purposes, the box is locked, so please stop at the police counter to check in your items for disposal. You must remove pills from their bottles and place them in plastic bags for disposal. Only pills in plastic bags or blister packs will be accepted. We do not accept liquids, needles, creams, inhalers or any other type of medication. If you have any questions regarding this program contact the City of Plymouth Police Department at (734) 453-1234 ext. 219.
Please visit the Michigan DEQ website for information about the safe disposal of sharps.
